Hickory Band Parents Association
Hickory Band Parents Association (HBPA) - Supporting both band students and directors with many opportunities for parent involvement
Behind every incredible performance is a dedicated team of parents, guardians, and community members working tirelessly to keep the rhythm going. The Hickory Band Parents Association (HBPA) is the official booster program for the Hickory High School Band.

What We Do
The HBPA exists to support the mission of our Band Directors and to ensure our student-musicians have the resources they need to shine. We work hard to ensure the Directors can focus on instruction, planning and student support.

-
Fundraising - We coordinate fundraising activities to support all programs within the Hickory Bands.

-
Logistics - Whether it’s moving heavy percussion equipment, feeding 200 hungry students before a game, or sewing a loose button on a uniform, our volunteers are there.

-
Advocacy - We represent the interests of Hickory Bands within the school and greater Chesapeake community.

Get Involved
The HBPA isn't just a committee; it’s a community. Every parent of a Hickory Band student is encouraged to take an active role.

-
Monthly Meetings: Join us once a month to stay informed on upcoming schedules, budget updates, and program goals. It’s the best way to stay "in the loop."

-
Leadership: Our HBPA Board Members are a group of dedicated volunteers who oversee our operations, finances, and long-term planning.

-
Volunteer Opportunities: From "Pit Crew" to hospitality, there is a job for every skill set and schedule.
